Good idea. I'll pencil it in for BugAware 5.0.
This is how the new Groups functionality in BugAware 5.0 has been implemented. You can assign users to a group from the group account, or assign a user to a group from a user account. User Groups will allow tasks to be assigned to a group of users who will all see the task. They will then be able to take ownership of the task and have it assigned to them.
For example you may have a Software X Support Group. When a task is assigned to the group user, all members of the group will see the task in a section of My Tasks. Once someone takes ownership of the task the task is reassigned. The group user can be added as a stakeholder if you want the Support Group to be able to monitor the task's progress.
Another 5.0 feature that I am quite excited about is our new Mailbox Manager. You will be able to use the External user Access feature to point to a mail account. BugAware will then poll the mailbox and import support emails as tasks. If the email is sent from an existing BugAware user, the task will be automatically associated to the correct user as the task creator.
